Our Executive Team
WENDY CHAN
Wendy has been involved with the club for over 10 years helping the program grow along the way. As a mom of 4 boys, all have participated in all aspects and opportunities provided by the Canes. Her husband, John, is an alumni and volunteers his summer hours and assists with grant funding through Verizon.

She is committed in teaching and providing opportunities for everyone to join an inclusive community where they can be themselves and have fun!
BILLY CHEN
Billy is continually developing and honing his skills in branding, creating logos and coding. He is proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, coding HTML, and CSS. He focuses on the utilization of white space, text and minimal design, which he feels to be the future of artistry.

In his spare time, Billy enjoys the challenge of hiking mountains and capturing photographs of the peaceful landscape at the summit.
JAMISON CHUE
Jamison has been involved with the Boston Hurricanes since 2006. He currently plays for the Men’s Black team, where he was named All Tournament Team in 2010 (66th NACIVT). Jamison has been appointed as Director of Men’s Volleyball, where he will assist the President in overseeing day-to-day operations, as well as building a competitive Men’s Program.
During his free time, Jamison loves to travel and spend time with his dog, Rupert.
AMANDA LACEY
Amanda Lacey has been with the Boston Hurricanes for more than 10 years. She currently plays for the Hurricane's Women's Gold team, is the Youth Summer Clinic Director, and the coach of the Girl's Blue team. While she has coached for the Boston Hurricanes for 6 years, she has also worked extensively with the Brookline High School Boy's volleyball program and for various clubs in the New England Area. Outside of volleyball, Amanda has a BS in Biology with a minor in Professional writing, and is currently a Post- Bac student at Northeastern while she works as an emergency veterinary nurse in preparation for applying to veterinary school.
SUNNY LEI
Sunny Lei is the Head of IT for the Boston Hurricanes organization. Starting volleyball in high school, he played setter/libero for the club team at Michigan State University. He has been playing with the Hurricanes since 2014 on the Men’s Black Team.
Outside of volleyball, Sunny loves playing board games and will challenge anyone to a game of Settlers of Catan. He also loves cooking and drinking IPA beers.
MAY WOO-MOK
May Woo-Mok manages the basketball program and coordinates logistics for the Hurricanes youth program. With a strong background in operations, strategic planning, and team leadership, she oversees the program's communication, event planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Her comprehensive approach ensures smooth operations and a positive experience for all participants.

SAM MOY
Sam Moy joined the Hurricanes in the early 80’s under its original Wing Wor origin and is a highly respected player in both the Asian volleyball and Asian basketball circuits. Sam has represented the Boston Hurricanes as player and coach throughout the early 2000’s. In 2005, he was selected to be one of the North American Chinese Basketball Association’s Top 25 Players of All Time.
Recently Sam has coached for the Belmont Youth Basketball Association, the Canes Youth program and JR Celtics at Yang YMCA.
Our Advisory Board
HARRY AUE
​Harry is an original member of Boston Wing Wor, and a founding member of the Boston Hurricanes. He played/coached in the NACIVT since 1972, and served as Tournament Director for the 60th and 66th NACIVT held in Boston.
He is the Treasurer of the NACVA-Boston (North American Chinese Volleyball Association) and a member of NTC (National Tournament Committee), the legislative ruling body for the NACIVT. We are very fortunate to continue to have Harry's wealth of experience and his depth of knowledge and insight as a resource.
RON CHIN
Ron Chin has been a Wing Wor/Boston Hurricane player and coach since the 80s for both the volleyball and basketball programs. He was the assistant Coach for the 2018 National
Champions Boys U18 Basketball Team and continues to be involved as a mentor and coach in the basketball program. He currently works at the U.S. Bank in Boston and lives in Framingham, MA.
CHRIS CHUE
Healthcare professional, leading performance improvement (PI) efforts in the ambulatory service setting. Implementation of best practices utilizing change models including Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA). Evaluating clinic operations and workflows for efficacy, satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.
KARIN CHUE
Coach Karin is an institution for youth volleyball development in Massachusetts. A member of the Board of Directors with Beantown Volleyball Club and is responsible for Player Development. Karin has been a valuable member of our club for many years and has had many roles. She has coached at all levels of the program and will teaches our younger athletes. Karin has also coached volleyball at the college level and with the Newton South and Natick HS programs.
